What does a speed test measure?
It measures how quickly data moves between your device and a test server, usually as download speed, upload speed and ping. It is a snapshot of one path at one moment.
Why does my result differ from my plan?
Wi-Fi, your device, the test server and the time of day all affect a result, so it rarely matches the plan figure exactly.
